My name is Amber, and I am a mom to two wonderful little girls, ages 3 and 1.5. Recently, my life was turned upside down when I had to undergo major surgery to remove a 14 cm mass from my ovaries. The mass was fused to other organs, and when the doctors operated, they found even more complications. I ended up needing a full hysterectomy, and I am still in the hospital recovering from this life-changing event.

As a single parent, my biggest concern is making sure my daughters continue to have a sense of normalcy and security. Right now, I am unable to work, and the bills are piling up. I want to make sure my girls have food on the table, a warm home, and the chance to experience a joyful Christmas, even as we face these challenges together. Every day, I am doing my best to stay strong for them, but I know I can’t do this alone.
