Help Amber, Brett and their new Twins
Brett and Amber are excited to announce that the babies are here. Malachi and Asher were 28 weeks on their birthday. They were originally supposed to make their premiere in October. They were doing good in the NICU originally but now have required more critical care.
On February 16th, Brett and Amber were gifted with the amazing news they were pregnant. On March 3rd, they were surprised again and excited to find out that they were having twins.
Everything was going well, and the twins were growing appropriately. However, in the beginning Amber unfortunately developed hypertension.
After multiple med changes and visits to L&D d/t the hypertension, it was shown that baby Asher wasn't getting enough of a blood supply. So, on August 2nd, Amber had an emergency C-section and brought Malachi and Asher out into the world. They are currently both in the NICU, with anticipation of them being there for at least 2 months or until their original due date of October 25, 2021.
Amber will be discharged obviously before the babies and will be traveling everyday to come see the babies from West Virginia. Brett and Amber will have double the medical bills and care for the twins as they eventually will come home. At least 2 months in Intensive Care is financially daunting on top of caring for 2 preemies. The expenses will grow as the babies fight in the NICU continues. Amber is a RN and has spent her career caring for others and their families. Now her and her family need help financially so she and Brett can focus on caring for their twins. They appreciate any prayers and thoughts sent their way during this roller coaster ride of good and bad days. Thank you to everyone for your support.
