Help Amanda with Medical Expenses - Car Wreck

My daughter Amanda survived a serious car wreck and I’ve created this fundraiser to help her with her Medical and other expenses as she recovers. I am thankful she is alive, as is she, and that no other vehicle was involved. (She hit a brick wall in Canton, Tx - despite having her seatbelt on, her head hit the windshield hard - she’s fuzzy on the details, but remembers trying to avoid a pick-up before the crash.)

The wreck happened on Monday April 17, 2023 - Amanda’s left leg was badly broken (open fracture of the tibia and fibula, and her ankle.) Her right kneecap was also fractured - she had emergency surgery the night of the wreck, and is still in the hospital (Christus Mother Frances in Tyler, TX) as of today, 4/27, waiting until she can have another surgery, probably on May 1st or 2nd - she faces months of recovery ahead.

With limited medical insurance the medical bills will be be high; obviously since the wreck she has been unable to work, and due to the recovery ahead it is unclear when she will be able to go back to work.

Amanda has faced and overcome many challenges in her life; all who know her know that she is a fighter and the hardest worker - and the happiest when working hard in untraditional roles: carpentry, HVAC, and most recently forklift driving in a warehouse; she has her CDL, HVAC and welding certification - She is a 4’11” dynamo laid low.

Amanda was so proud to have gotten her credit score to where she could buy her car last year- a 2017 Kia sedan … which is now totaled; sadly with her auto insurance lapsed, so that is another major expense & concern, on top of all others.

Amanda is a giver, who has always helped others; she has always had trouble asking for help of any kind for herself, so I am asking for her. Funds raised will be used to help her with her medical bills and expenses while she recovers and literally works to get “back on her feet” - any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated - and if you are not able to at this time, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
