Today I met a single mom and grandma named Amanda in Walmart.
I asked her if she had dropped $100, and she was honest and told me no even though she really could have used it. To reward her honesty, I gave her $1500.
She immediately broke down in tears.
Amanda shared with me that she is only a month away from homelessness. She has no car, no money for groceries, and is doing everything she can to care for her children and grandchildren. Her son Cody was with her, and through tears he shared that he’s been bullied at school, but still said that God has been good to him. That moment absolutely broke me.
Even with all the weight Amanda is carrying, she still chose honesty. In a moment where she could have taken the money, she told the truth.
A single mom and grandma fighting this hard for her family should not have to carry this alone. Let’s rally around Amanda and help her get a home so she and her precious family can have a safe, stable place to stay.
Do your thing, internet ❤️
