Hi, I am Amal Al-Ajouri, I am 23 years old. I study at Al-Azhar University, specializing in computer systems engineering, my last year of study and my graduation year in 2024But I did not graduate because of the war on Gaza, and my family consists of my older brother, Amir, 21 years old, a multimedia student studying at Al-Azhar University, my brother Anas, 19 years old, who finished high school in 2022, my sister Asmaa, 17 years old, and my younger brother Ahmed, 8 years old.My mom is 45 years old and my dad is 50 years old and my fiancé is my family.
There is a genocide in Gaza and we have lost everything.

My family to this decision to try to leave Gaza comes with deep sadness but there is no other choice.
It is a matter of life or death at this point. Nothing is left for Gazans to be able to continue living there without great suffering or death.

The journey to safety demands a price

- $7,000 per adult

- $3,500 per child

for the crossing to Egypt, excluding essential expenses.
It is never easy to ask for help but in this time of desperation.
I humbly implore the kindness of strangers to safeguard their future and well-being. Your contribution, regardless of size, holds immeasurable value on their journey to safety.

I want to tell you my story to help me and my family.
The war on Gaza began on October 7, and the occupation began targeting homes and their residents. All means of life were cut off, without electricity and water. The occupation ordered us to move south, but we did not listen to it. But on November 1, the residential neighborhood was bombed, the neighborhood was destroyed, and our house was destroyed above our heads. My brother Amir was moderately injured. His hand was cut off, and his shoulder and stomach were injured. My dear father was slightly injured. Thank God we escaped death. We lost everything: our memories, our clothes, our money, and also our laughter.
These are some pictures of our destroyed house and of my dear brother

December 5, we were displaced to Kamal Adwan Hospital due to genocide by the Israeli occupation and the fire belts. The occupation entered Kamal Adwan Hospital and committed the most horrific massacres. He took my father and brother away from us, detained them, and subjected them to severe beatings and the most horrific methods of torture. My mother and little brother were released, and we were displaced to UNRWA shelters west of Gaza. Two days later, the occupation released my father and brother and they followed us to western Gaza, where there is no drinking water and no necessities for life. My father's daily routine: He wakes up every morning, treats his wounds, and goes to the market to bring food for us. My older brother goes to fetch firewood, and my little brother goes to fetch water, but it is contaminated water. We have been infected with gastrointestinal diseases and bacteria. There is only real famine and also genocide. These are some pictures of suffering.

On January 28, the Israeli occupation army stormed the agency center west of Gaza, and under shells and bullets, we left through a bumpy road designed by the occupation for displacement to southern Gaza. My father and sister were arrested again and severely beaten again. We women went out on the bumpy road on foot for 10 hours and slept on Al-Rashid Street on the sidewalk with the rain on our heads and the extreme cold ravaging our bodies. We almost died from the cold. We saw decomposing bodies on the sidewalk. They executed a woman in front of us and took her child because he was late in walking. We decided on our way. We arrived in Wadi Gaza. We saw some people and they helped us reach a shelter. We slept in the agency on the tiles without covers to protect us from the cold, without my father and brother. After a week of staying in the shelter, the school door was bombed. We went out to another center in Nusseirat, and learned that my father and brother were fine. The occupation released them, but they are in northern Gaza, and we are in southern Gaza without my entire family. We separated because of the Israeli occupation. Our greatest wish is to meet again before we die. This occupation uses genocide. We want to leave to get some security. These are some pictures during our displacement

February 14 We stayed in the agency’s women’s activity center in Nuseirat without my family. My little brother, the little boy, became responsible for lighting the fire and filling the water. He was supposed to play and go to school and excel in his studies in order to have a bright future, but the occupation deprived him of his most basic rights and he became sick from lack of food. What is the fault of these children in the genocide committed by the occupation? We long to hear my father’s voice. He became ill and the situation was dangerous in northern Gaza. We hope to meet again on May 22. The women’s activity center was bombed, and all the children in the place were injured and became orphans. The occupation did not leave us in peace. Rather, bombing and death accompany us, and genocide accompanies us

We cleaned the place of blood and destruction. There is nowhere to go in southern Gaza, and there are no tents because the crossing is closed. We are back to death, to the place that could collapse at any time. These are some pictures of destruction and suffering.
