Hi, my name is Alyssa Sura.

I really don’t know where to start with this because I’ve never been one to just ask for handouts. So I guess I will start with saying the father of my children was murdered in jail on New Year's. We have a 13-year-old, a 9-year-old, and a 7-year-old. As we have been mourning and attending doctor's appointments and counseling appointments, it's been hard for me to make an income when I have to put their health and well-being first.

I know this might be a long shot and I don’t expect some to understand, but even though he was in jail, he didn’t deserve what happened. And again, even though he was in jail, if the kids needed anything when he called, all I had to do was tell him and he would make it happen. He was a great dad and I’m just trying to make sure that we can survive for the next few months. Saying the last couple of months have been nothing but a struggle, I’m praying God will bless me and my children and help make a way for us.
