Help Altadena couple start over after fire
Donation protected
I am putting this fundraiser on pause indefinitely at the request of my parents. Thank you to everyone that donated or shared, my family and I are overwhelmed with support and love. Moving on after a disaster like this is hard, but having so many people come together to support my parents has definitely made it easier. Thank you again!
Hi, I’m Kelsey.
Like so many families in the Los Angeles area, my parents lost their home of over 40 years to the devastating fires. While we’re incredibly grateful they are safe and staying with family nearby, there was nothing left to recover—our entire neighborhood was leveled.
This home wasn’t just a house; it was the heart of our family. It’s where my parents raised my sister and me, where we celebrated weddings, birthdays, and holidays. My mom poured her passion into the garden, and my dad built much of the house himself in the early 1980s. The memories will live on, but now, at 75 years old, my parents are facing the unimaginable challenge of starting over from scratch.
My sister also lost her home, which was on a nearby property owned by my dad. The financial and emotional toll has been immense. From across the country, I’m doing my best to help them get back on their feet, but they need more support than I can provide on my own.
Any contribution, big or small, will make an enormous difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to us.
Thank you for helping my family regain some stability during this difficult time, please look here for updates.
With gratitude,
