Free Alonso! and help his family

On May 22nd our amazing coworker and friend Alonso was taken away from us! He went to court to handle a traffic violation when he was apprehended by ICE agents and taken to Tacoma, where he has remainded in prison, awaiting deportation. He has been able to work in the prison until he gets a trial date.
Alonso has been an invaluable part of our small team and close friend for almost 4 years. I've never once heard this guy complain or refuse any request, he truely is a kitchen angel!
Alonso has 3 young children here in Portland with an American woman, who is now left with the financial and emotional burden of caring for three children and paying legal fees on a single parent wage.
BUT! There is still hope for Alonso to return to his family and job. His wife is working with an attorney to bring his case to trial, which will cost at least $3500 with no garuntee of a win. But we are all hopeful to get him back!
My hope with this page is to raise money for his family and help pay his legal fees if the case is brought to trial. If not then all proceeds will help his family get through this difficult time.
Maybe Alonso made you an amazing meal, maybe you've never met, maybe you are just as peeved at the current state of our country, either way please consider helping him and his family.
