Help Alondra Save Streets Eats Catering and Truck

After sharing a review of the phenomenal service we received from Alondra and her family at our wedding reception a few weeks ago, support and uplifting comments regarding her business and service to her community came pouring in. It was heartwarming to say the least and I was hopeful that it would draw in business for her amazing food truck/catering business as well as support and contributions to the incredible work that she does for her community. I knew she was under a strain with costly repairs needed to get the truck back up and running and was hopeful that an increase in business would help turn that around. Unfortunately, after a recent conversation with Alondra, I learned that the issue is much bigger than I assumed. I was heartbroken to learn that she has been silently suffering with the decision to close down the truck at the end of November due to the financial burden of the repairs.
Now, in case you do not already know, please let me tell you a little about this amazing woman and her family. She has a servants heart, and one of the biggest I've seen at that. During the 2020 Texas freeze and power outage, Alondra and her family lost power and heat in their home. At a time where most of us turned inward to care for ourselves and our homes, Alondra fired up her food truck and selflessly spent her time cooking hot meals to serve, for free, to her community and anyone in need of food or warmth. During the summers, she spent her time gathering volunteers and supplies to pack lunches for children in her community, many who she knew depended on school meals during the year as a primary source of nutrients. Throughout the holidays, Alondra and her family have spent their time providing meals to anyone in the community who was hungry or simply needed some uplifting during a season that's not always joyful for us all. She has fed us, she has fed our families, our friends, our neighbors, and our children. She has spiritedly given to her community over and over again. Even now, on the brink of losing her business, instead of asking for help she is preparing to serve Thanksgiving meals for us, her community.

I firmly believe all things come full circle and this is our chance as her community to give thanks and give back. Alondra and her family have been there, consistently, supporting us all with whatever they can provide and now I am asking you all to please, if you can, donate to this fund which will be 100% allocated to repairs of the food truck. Let's keep this amazing service alive in our community and if nothing else, let us learn what true kindness looks like by witnessing the work she and her family have done in our favor. I appreciate your time in sharing her story and any contributions you may make.

Thank you, All.
