Allayna is asking her community to support her on Sabeel's 10-day outreach expedition to the West Bank this November 2025.
Sabeel (A Christian-based organization working towards religious liberation for Palestinians) is partnering with local (Philly) Palestinian activists to host a delegation of 15-20 adults in the West Bank. While Sabeel's delegations are often Christian-based, this trip is not religiously affiliated. The group will be based in the Jerusalem and Ramallah areas, with day trips to places that may include Bethlehem, Hebron, Nablus, and Yaffa.
She hopes to accomplish 2 goals:
1) create solidarity (meeting with people, communities, and organizations who specifically want international visitors
2) Turn her experiences into effective advocacy work upon her return to the US.
She’s setting out to fundraise $2,000 for the cost of her ticket plus travel. She’d love to present what she's learned to her community when she comes back. Please inquire if you are interested!
Allayna wants to express gratitude to Fairwood Community United Methodist Church (FCUMC) for igniting the light of service work on a global scale. Her youth group mission trips to Belize, Montana, Portland, and San Francisco are pillars of her commitment to service, which would not have been possible without this church. She looks to FCUMC for her earliest examples of advocacy, knowing she truly was raised to love thy neighbor.
Her Master of Social Work program at La Salle University in Philadelphia has also allowed her to become increasingly more connected with community activism. Amidst the rising humanitarian crisis in Gaza, she hopes to assist in generating aid and compassion in the United States.
Please contact Allayna if you have any questions about the trip!
