I’m reaching out today to ask for support for someone who has been an important part of my life for the past eight years—my dear friend Aljon.

After years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance, Aljon has finally secured the opportunity to pursue his dream. He is in the process of acquiring his work visa and is scheduled to join his very first ship on January 11th. This is a life-changing milestone for him, and I am incredibly proud of how far he has come.

I am starting this fundraiser because I want to help Aljon with the costs associated with completing his visa process and preparing for this next chapter. I will be making the first contribution, and I’m hoping that my friends and community can join me in supporting someone who truly deserves this chance.

Aljon has stood by me through some of the most difficult moments of my life. When I was in the hospital for over a month, he was there for me every single day—calling at 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.—even with the distance between Canada and the Philippines. The hospital even allowed me to call him directly because they saw how important his support was to my recovery. His kindness, loyalty, and genuine care have carried me through sickness and health.

Now, it’s my turn—our turn—to support him.
