Please help us,Baby Joey is still admitted to NICU
Donation protected
Hello everyone,as many of u know Alissa my daughter gave birth by C-Section to Joey that was 2 1/2 months early because of being diagnosed with preeclampsia & having high blood pressure.Due to complications within her pregnancy,Joey’s lungs were not fully developed when born but doctors recommend that he be born soon.Due to her son still admitted to the hospital Alissa has used up almost all of her maternity leave and is due to return back to work February 3rd. Joey has remained in the NICU at the hospital since the birth of Joey Junior on October 21st 2023. Alissa has remained strong throughout this and it is hard for her to ask for help. After losing a set of twins and another miscarriage this year we finally got blessed with Joey Junior that weighed 2 lbs 7.5 ounces & he is a very strong little guy going through what he has endured since birth. The funds will be used for Alissa’s travels back and forth to the hospital for bonding time with Joey. She resides an 1 1/2 away from hospital. Also since her family leave time is up this would allow Alissa to be able to spend time with Joey when he is able to get discharge & can come home. If u can & feel moved in your heart to do so, could you pray, share, or donate what u can so this innocent child & his little family can continue to get to know each other.
Alissa has in fact returned back to work already but when he does end up getting discharged she would love to be financially stable to were she could take off a couple weeks to get him home, with a home nurse, and get a routine in place for Joey before she returns back to work.
I felt in my heart I should set up this account right away, she doesn’t need to be worrying about spending time with her child she is already going through a lot. Thank u from the bottom of our hearts. Love Joeys grandma & Alissa’s mom,Lee Ann.
The funds donated will be used as follows ,see below.
-Get Juniors mom (Alissa) back & forth to the hospital that is 1.5 hours from where she resides.
-To help cover hours that are decreased every week & be able to go visit him as well as be able to be present at bedside to make medical decisions & participate in Juniors care.
-Help pay for any of Juniors medical expenses that may not be covered by his insurance.
-To purchase a big heavy duty diaper bag that will hold all of his tracheostomy cleaning supplies, extra trach, & an air bag just in case there is an emergency.
-Help buy a double stroller for when he does get discharged she will need to put all of his medical equipment in stroller as well as home ventilator in with him.
-Purchase a humidifier for Juniors living space.Being that he is on respiratory support for breathing it would be ideal if he is breathing in clean purified air.He is more prone to getting infections and viruses.
Our family is extremely grateful for everyone who acknowledged my grandsons story & took the time to pray, share, & donate. Please go follow my daughters personal Facebook page that she has posted consistently since the day Junior was born for more updates & pictures of his NICU Journey (Lissa Ashle Hagan)
