ALIEU FADERA IS A GAMBIAN SCAMMER!

Donation protected

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!

My name is Mark Allen and I'm from Limerick, Ireland. I collected €700 for Alieu Fadera from The Gambia to help him buy a donkey and cart so that he could start working and providing for his two younger brothers, Omar and Alfusane before unfortunately learning after the funds had been raised that Alieu Fadera is in fact a Gambian scammer. I collected money not only from people online, but from my own family members too. My grandparents, my three aunts, and uncle all donated.

I had been in touch with Alieu since he was 16, he turns 19 in October 2021 (unless he also lied about the month he was born) so I was convinced that he was just an honest young man who needed help.

Dishonest people always slip up eventually and Alieu slipped up by sending me a picture of this fraudulent receipt for insurance - which I didn't even ask for.

After posting the receipt on Instagram and on GoFundMe, it was very soon brought to my attention by a man from GamScam that there's no such thing as insurance for donkeys in Gambia, and even if there was, the insurance would be bought from an insurance company, not the Brikama Area Council who don't even sell insurance.

GamScam are American Christians who have taken it upon themselves to expose as many scammers currently operating in The Gambia.

Understandably at first I didn't believe this man, so he told me to contact Heather Armstrong from the Horse and Donkey Trust charity, a registered charity based in the UK and Gambia, which I did; as well as the Brikama Area Council who told me the same thing. Heather also told me that the picture of the donkey on this page was one of theirs, and the video clip of the donkeys where Alieu says that this is where the donkeys are sold was recorded at the charity's location, even though the charity does NOT sell donkeys.

Some people believed that I was in on the scam with Alieu but I have the receipt from WorldRemit.com which proves that I sent 100% of the funds raised straight to Alieu, which is available upon request.

I did feel judged by the man from GamScam for not automatically believing him when he said that Alieu was a scammer, even though it was perfectly understandable that I didn't believe him as I had known Alieu for years and this man wasn't showing me proof.

He also pointed out that after I learned the truth about Alieu, that this fundraising page was still open to donations, but this meant nothing. I wasn't expecting anyone to donate anything more after the target was reached, because why would they? And who was going to donate to a page knowingly for a scammer? But, just for clarity, I  have disabled the Donation button.

Overall, I am appreciative to this man for telling me the truth about Alieu because if he hadn't, I wouldn't have contacted the Horse and Donkey Trust and the Area Council.

I'm not upset about this because my intentions were positive, as were the intentions of everyone who donated to this page. We all meant well. The only person here who was dishonest was Alieu, and now he is facing the consequences of his actions.

There is also no bitterness or hatred here for Alieu as that doesn't help. I am simply raising awareness that Alieu Fadera is a scammer incase he attempts to scam more people.

Below this photo of Alieu is the original story I wrote when I believed that Alieu was genuine.

Please read my Latest Update at the bottom of this page regarding the truth about Alieu.

THE ORIGINAL STORY:

Alieu is an 18 year old orphan from The Gambia in West Africa who takes care of his two younger brothers, Omar who is 15, and Alfusane who is 11 after their grandmother passed away in August of 2020.

After their parents died in 2015/2016, Alieu and his brothers had to drop out of school as their grandmother could not afford their education. Alieu is now the sole guardian of his two brothers, and apart from receiving some money once a month for food from his friend in Europe, and every three months for rent, the family have no income; nor do they receive any help from any charity organisation in Africa.

In October 2020, Alieu and his brothers were being evicted from their home due to unpaid rent, but fortunately they were saved by a passing foreign man who saw what was happening and offered to help.

A month later in November, Alieu began receiving financial help from his friend in Europe, who has also sent Alieu money for much needed toiletries.

Alieu is unable to save the money he receives as it is needed for food and rent. Without this money, life becomes very difficult. Alieu must ensure that he can stretch their food money so that it can last them a month.

When their money and food runs out, Alieu asks a neighbour if they have any food to spare until his friend is able to send him more money.

Alieu has reached out to me and asked if I could help him to buy a donkey and cart so that he can start working and begin earning money to support his family and to create a better life for them.

Every donation large or small is greatly appreciated as every euro brings Alieu closer to starting work. The fact is Alieu and his brothers deserve a chance in life, and every donation contributes to giving them one.

One of Alieu's biggest wishes is to be able to send Omar and Alfusane to school so that they can receive the education they deserve and, in particular; learn how to speak English, which is the main language spoken in Gambia.

Of course this wish won't be fulfilled immediately, but the sooner Alieu can start working, the sooner he can start saving towards their education.

The donkeys and carts are being sold by a man by the name of Galleh Jallow from Gambia. He is charging €400 each for the donkeys, and €300 each for the carts.

When Alieu can purchase the donkey and cart, his main objective will be the exportation of materials and goods from one place to another, and during the rainy season, the donkey can be put to work on people's farms for the exportation of groundnuts, for which Alieu will receive a payment.

Alieu, Omar, and Alfusane are very grateful for the support that people are showing, as they know that people are parting with their own earned money to help them, and it means so much to them.

Alieu taught his brothers how to say "Thank you for your support" in English especially for this video clip.

Alieu (18) has had to grow up fast to take care of his brothers, and he always does his best for them.

Omar (15) wants to go to school and often tells Alieu that "Education is the key to life."

Alfusane (11) told Alieu that the only thing he wants in life are to go to school, and to have his own bicycle.

I am also very grateful for the support that this fundraising page is receiving. I am confident that I will reach the €700 target for Alieu.

When the target is reached, I will transfer the money directly to Alieu as soon as GoFundMe deposits it into my bank account which can take up to 2 - 5 business days. 100% of this money will be going to Alieu. I will be keeping nothing for myself.

Life will not be transformed immediately for Alieu and his brothers, but because Alieu will be receiving an income, he will be well on his way to creating a better life for himself and his family.

Let's make 2021 the year that Alieu Fadera starts working!
