I’m fundraising to help my daughter Alicia stay in an Extended Stay. Due to family dynamics, she has been living in her car since June of last year!

Because of her health conditions, she has been unable to work. She passes out if she stands, bends over, or walks too long. She has passed out at her job at least 7 times which is dangerous due to metal shelving and concrete floors. She has hit her head and gotten at least 2 concussions.

She also has POTS, fibromyalgia, and is bipolar.

She has applied for SSI twice and been turned down. We have recently found a lawyer to help but still have been told the hearing will not be before December at the earliest.

The engine in her car just blew so now she will have no heat this winter or transportation.

Alicia has already had a man yanking on her door in the middle of the night to get her out of her car as well as another man that stalks her. He shows up wherever she is parked and just stares at her.

She has sought out all kinds of help, but due to her not having small children and the extensive waiting lists, there is no immediate help.

The Extended Stay will allow her to stay indefinitely and she has a kitchenette. There is housekeeping that will clean and change her bed once a week (which can also make her pass out). The weekly or monthly rate covers heat, air conditioning, WiFi, water and electricity so she would not have those expenses.
