Help Ali with rent (October)

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all well. There have been a few set backs this past week with Ali. After having his phone stolen, he found out that his lawyer wouldn’t be back for another four weeks due to a death in the family in Pakistan. They have however, figured out a way to send over signed verification documents that just need to be certified by notary republic and then Ali can collect his passport. These setbacks have obviously cost money and Ali’s first rent payment for October is coming up. If you are able to spare anything, Ali still desperately needs our help on this last stretch.

If this is your first time hearing about it,
my name is Adam Grant, and I’ve been running the fundraising campaign to help Ali, the Barbican Big Issue seller, attain his UK Naturalisation so that he can work again.
I’ve linked below all information from the two fundraisers we’ve done:

Working as a Big Issue/Dope Magazine Seller, Ali has to raise £140 per week for rent or must sleep on the street. Hostels and accommodations that accept people without government-issued identification are also few and far between. While the community has shown Ali so much kindness and financial support, his income is incredibly sporadic, sometimes only making a few pounds from a day’s work outside Tesco. He has had no access to benefits and lives in constant uncertainty, with any time off or illness jeopardising his security. The stress of this has taken a tremendous toll on Ali’s mental and physical health and he is in desperate need of a steady income while he waits to be allowed to work again.
Ali and I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has helped him so far and those who will help him survive the rest of his struggle. It took over half a year to hear anything back from the home office last time around so I’m going to post a Gofundme each month to cover his £560 rent until he can work or is eligible for government welfare. I think having a budgeted and structured support system for Ali is the best way forward until he is allowed the chance to support himself.

Thank you for your time,

Adam
