Help my family & our kids to evacuate from conflict in Gaza

I am Mahmoud Aqel, I live in Germany

I am intervening and launching this campaign on behalf of my family, who is stuck in Gaza Strip because they cannot launch it thimsilves due to the circumstances and restrictions imposed by GoFundMe. All donations will go directly to my family so that they can save their lives and rebuild their future.

This is their message:

Five months ago, we were living with great ambition and persevering. We are consisting of 9 members, including our mother, brother “Abdullah,” sisters “Halima, Asmaa, and Maryam,” our brother’s wife, “Israa,” and her orphan children. Ali is 6 years old, Rima is 5 years old, and Sila is 2 years old. In our small house that we built with love for many years, every corner of it holds memory, laughter and joy. We never imagined that we would have to leave it until this brutal war came and destroyed everything.

We left our house. Under constant bombardment and artillery shelling, on foot, without carrying with us our personal necessities, winter clothes, or even our money, we were forced to flee to shelter centers, where we lived the most difficult days of our lives in a shelter with scarce resources, and slept on the floor. Without blankets, without drinking healthy water.

so we are looking for a way out in the hope that we will find safety or find a way out of Gaza to a safe place that we dream of for the future of our children, and that we will continue our journey of putting smiles on the faces of our kids. Let us live a happy and safe life for us and our children, keep them away from all this pain, destruction and siege, and spare them the miserable future that awaits them if the situation continues as it is in Gaza. The pain we have lived through over the years, We do not seek or accept that our children will suffer in the future.

We are currently requesting assistance to evacuate from Gaza to Egypt in search of a safe and healthy place. Unfortunately, the costs are high and change dramatically and unpredictably by the day. Costs will continue to rise as demand and the number of agents carrying out the evacuation increase.

For cost breakdown; As of February 1, eviction fees range from $5,000 to $6,000 per person, before processing and transportation fees, and we will pay the higher end of the range since Ali, Rima, and baby Sila do not have passports.

Any amount raised beyond the total amount will be used to support us as refugees in Egypt.

Your donation, no matter how small, will make an impact. You will help bring us to safety. The funds will be used transparently and every dollar will go toward securing our evacuation.
