Hello,
Our family has been hit with an unexpected and heartbreaking crisis. My great niece was airlifted to Madera Children’s Hospital and diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Her parents have been by her side every step of the way. Needless to say, this has added another layer of pressure and stress onto Alexis and Julian and they are needing our help. Little Oliviah will be there for an undetermined amount of time. Here is some of what Alexis has had to say.
On May 31st I finally had enough of our pediatrician dismissing all my concerns about Oliviah. I finally took her to the ER and within minutes she was rushed back, hooked up to oxygen, nurses and doctors running everywhere. I was in total shock. Just a few hours later my poor 2 week old baby was being flown by helicopter to Madera children’s hospital. Once we got here we got devastating news about what my Oliviah was going through. She was born with a congenital heart defect, talk about a punch and kick to the gut.
Oliviah had her Norwood surgery 6/10/25, to try to reconstruct her heart. My brave girl endured a 16 hour open heart surgery. It didn’t go exactly to the surgeon and cardiologist’s plans, but my baby girl made it out. She has a very scary next couple of days/weeks but I’m leaving it all in God’s hands,
I ask you to not stop now. My girl needs just the same amount of prayers, if not more, to get through this next stage and still 2 more heart surgeries!
As we all know sometimes when life hits hard the world still continues which means the bills do also. We are asking for continued prayers and for donations to help keep this young family of 5 afloat. Anything no matter how small will be greatly appreciated.
