My cousin Alexia is a survivor of unimaginable violence. She was brutally attacked by her fiancé, an active-duty Army soldier, who stabbed her more than twenty times in the head, neck, ear, and hands. Miraculously, she survived. Her strength and will to live are nothing short of extraordinary.

Her attacker has been arrested and is now facing a lengthy prison sentence, but the road ahead for Alexia is long. She is recovering from severe physical injuries, deep emotional trauma, and the loss of the life she once knew.

Right now, she is preparing to relocate to another state to begin a new chapter in safety and healing, surrounded by family who love and support her. One of her biggest concerns is ensuring the safe relocation of her beloved pets, who have been her comfort and emotional support through everything.
