Hi everyone,

My name is Alex, and this is a very difficult post for me to share. On September 23, 2025, my life changed forever. While on my way to work, I was suddenly attacked by a black bear. I suffered serious injuries to my collarbone, ribs, and leg and had to undergo emergency surgery. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive. A passing truck scared the bear away and likely saved my life. While I’m thankful to still be here, recovery has been extremely hard. Not just physically, mentally but now financially. I’ve always been the provider for my family, but right now I’m unable to work and have no income coming in. My paid time off has run out, and I’ve fallen behind on rent and other bills. I even had to give up my car, and I’m scared about how I’ll keep a roof over my kids’ heads. If anyone is able to help in any way, it would mean the world to me and my family. I’m doing everything I can to heal and get back on my feet, with faith that better days are ahead.
