Our kids are the center of our whole world - the goofiest, kindest, strongest little humans we know. As of recently, our girls’ relationship with us has been and continues to be threatened. The residential time they spend with us is also being threatened, which has forced our hand to hiring a family law attorney to assist us in the impending legal fight to keep our family together.

As many of you know, both of us work in pediatrics, as a mental health specialist and as a certified child life specialist. While it is certainly noble work, ‘helping’ professions are not known for luxurious salaries. We are asking our community for anything they can offer in an effort to help us hire the best litigator we can find, to represent us and our systems of belief as parents and to defend our family unit.

We recognize the monetary goal is high; retaining a lawyer is an incredible expense. However the ultimate goal, to foster and maintain a stable, safe, and loving environment in which our girls can grow and thrive, is absolutely priceless.

Any funds remaining at the end of this journey will be donated to ‘The QLaw Foundation of Washington’, who donate hundreds of attorney hours annually to assist and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and individuals seeking legal counsel.
