Help Alex and John in Panama

My friend Alex Mack is stuck in Panama for a current unknown amount of time and unable to get home. She's run out of money, can't work and has bills to cover at home.

She is not the sort of person to take from anyone, but I want to help her however I can so I have set this up.

Alex travelled out at the beginning of February to work on a festival site for 6 weeks. Over those weeks, the covid-19 pandemic grew dramatically, Alex and other crew from the festival realised that their flights home were cancelled.
By the last week of her holiday, there were very limited flights left out of the country before Panama closed their airport and stopped any travel out of the country. Her and other crew members spent the last of their money on expensive flights to desperately get home before the boarder closed- each flight costing around £1500-£3000.
On the day of her flight she arrived at the airport with her boyfriend John, to receive the information at the check in desk that Canada had refused their flight as they would have to change terminals at the airport (They didn't want anyone moving from terminal to terminal). Both of their flights were cancelled, money taken from them, both were stranded without any hope.
Both Alex and John set out to the British Embassy of Panama to speak directly to them and seek out help and advice on their situation. Arriving at the office, the office was closed, they had flown all of the workers back home to the UK. When trying to call the British Embassy of Panama, they were left with a voicemail machine.
They resorted to calling the British Embassy in the UK, only to be told that they had no intentions of helping anyone stuck in panama, no emergency flights, no accomodation and no financial benefit.
John had been laid off from his job, Alex without work, both with little money, they set out to find cheap accomodation and a safe place to stay.
The lock down has been strict in panama for months, tensions are running high with warnings of riots taking place in the city soon.
They are yet to receive any help from the government or from the embassy.
Their money has run out and the panama government has informed of an extension of quarantine. At this current moment they can't fly home for another 30 days.
We ask for your help and any donations to try and keep Alex and John able to afford the hostel they are staying in and to try to get a flight home when the airport eventually opens.
They have had a challenging journey but with a little help they can find some security and hopefully get home safe.
