Estoy creando este GoFundMe principalmente para mis amigos y seres queridos más cercanos. Algunos de ustedes ya conocen la situación, pero igual quiero compartir una breve explicación.

Este pasado domingo 16 de febrero, mi tío Alejandro Chassaigne falleció a los 57 años debido a un ataque al corazón. Mi tío y mi mamá se encargaban juntos de cuidar a mi abuela, quien padece demencia y no puede quedarse sola.

Después de todo lo que hemos atravesado, incluyendo los huracanes del año pasado, nos está resultando muy difícil cubrir los gastos mensuales del apartamento de mi mamá y mi abuela (mi tío vivía con ellas y aportaba un tercio de los gastos).

Si está dentro de sus posibilidades, agradecería muchísimo cualquier tipo de ayuda que puedan brindarnos.

I’m creating this GoFundMe mainly for my closest friends and loved ones. Some of you already know the situation, but I still want to share a brief explanation.

This past Sunday, February 16th, my uncle Alejandro Chassaigne passed away at 57 years old due to a heart attack. My uncle and my mom were the ones taking care of my grandmother, who has dementia and can’t be left alone.

After everything we’ve been through, including the hurricanes from last year, it’s become really difficult for us to cover the monthly expenses of my mom and grandmother’s apartment (my uncle lived with them and contributed a third of all the expenses).
