Alecia is a dedicated mom raising three boys. All three of the boys contracted Strep and that’s when her nightmare began. Alecia felt ill and went to Rice lake hospital in Rice Lake WI. Her life was about to change FOREVER! The Doctors and nurses knew Alecia was seriously ill. She was air lifted to Sacred heart hospital in Eau Claire to handle this complex situation on June 13th 2015. They did exploratory surgery because she was in multi organ failure and they didn’t know why. Days later they diagnosed her with Strep A Toxic Shock syndrome. A blood infection that eventually attacked the bone. On June 19thAlecia was air lifted to Madison for treatment. Alecia’s lungs had collapsed. She needed a blood transfusion because of internal bleeding and needed Dialysis. The infection continued to travel. They then had to amputate her fingers at the knuckles. Finally, on August 7th Alecia was well enough to go home. Alecia continued to fight this infection but on January 30, 2016 they had to amputate her toes on both feet. Time passed and there was hope she would get better. Well that wasn’t God’s plan. On June 10, 2019 her right leg had to be amputated below the knee due to an infection in her heel. Please pray this will be her last surgery. Alecia is a wonderful mom and a very good friend to many. But she needs our help with many things. Such as Medical bills, preparing the kids for school and other things they may need. Basically, just surviving financially. This would help ease her stress so she can continue to fight for her life. So, I’m reaching out to everyone, whether you know her or not, for help. Please donate now. Thank you.
