I am a father of six children fighting to clear my name and reunite with my family. Three of my children — now 19 and 20 — I have not seen in 14 years since they were just 3 and 4 years old. Their mother voluntarily gave them up at one point, and abandonment was filed regarding her — not me — because I was actively fighting to stay in my children’s lives. Seven years ago, my other three children were also taken from me. I was told by my attorney to give up, but I fired her and represented myself. In court, department heads and CPS leadership made sworn admissions that prior statements about me were not accurate, yet my children were never returned and there is still no clear explanation in the record justifying the separation to this day.
While fighting for my children in family court, I experienced more than 30 unspecified arrests for showing up to court to fight for them — some arrests were shortly after showing up in time as required. I later faced criminal charges for a crime the sheriff says never happened. Even the court and county have no records showing documentation of any grand jury proceedings connected to my indictments, which, in my understanding, is legally impossible. The sitting sheriff reviewed everything and told me directly that my arrest and charges should never have happened and that no crime had been committed. I have also paid significant amounts in child support that, according to records, my children did not receive. I do not drink or use drugs. I live quietly and respectfully. I love being a father — reading, walking, learning, spending time together. One day my children were gone, and I have been fighting ever since. I will never stop fighting for them.
