Help Albert at “Who Dat” BBQ with new trailer

UPDATE:  we have raised $2000 of the $5000 and purchased him a small smoker trailer.  We didn’t want him missing out on the best bbq days with Summer here.  Albert can still use some work on his car he is constantly making repairs, supplies, food, etc. to help him feed the homeless and his community friends.  We will leave the gofundme open and when we reach our goal we will transfer the funds diretonAlbert.  Thank you to everyone who has helped to date!  

If you have ever been along Atlanta Hwy around Gaines Ferry in Buford or Flowery Branch area and seen someone cooking on side of the road with a big sign that says “Who Dat” BBQ,  that would be Albert.   

Those who truly don’t know Albert he is a wonderful family loving Christian man, in his 70s, who loves feeding his community.   He works hard on the weekends (as anyone can see driving past these intersections).  As he is there rain or shine.  Not to mention his homemade BBQ and vegetables are AMAZING!!   Due to last years events with Covid he has struggled even harder trying to make ends meet.  When you really talk with him the last thing he ever thinks about is how is going to drive his run down green suburban and his homemade trailer (that’s totes his BBQ grill) to where he’s going to feed anyone who will stop.  

As a community I would love to be able to help him get a nice little trailer so he can start catering more and helping support his family.   He was able to cater Cloudland Winery in Buford yesterday which was a great honor for him.  He was so proud he had the chance to feed customers.  

Next time you’re in the area and see him cooking, stop try his food and just get to know Albert.  It’s more than just eating great BBQ it’s about making a new friend.  Everyone is his friend!  Remember sometimes when you stop it’s more than just buying food ☺️
