Alan Kam just experienced a devastating loss when a fire in Aina Hina spread from a nearby house and destroyed his home. In a matter of minutes, everything he worked for and cherished was reduced to ashes. His surfboards, family photos, and the small treasures that carried memories of loved ones are all gone.
Alan is someone who has always given back—he loves to surf, care for the ocean, and share aloha with everyone he meets. He’s the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back, and now he has nothing left but the clothes he escaped in.
He’s left without a place to call home, without the familiar comfort of his own bed, and facing the pain of rebuilding from scratch. The hardest part is knowing that while the house is gone, so are the irreplaceable pieces of his past—his family history, keepsakes, and the things money can’t buy.
Now, Alan needs our community’s support more than ever. We are asking for donations to help him find shelter, recover essentials, and rebuild a sense of stability during this heartbreaking time. Any contribution, big or small, will mean more than words can express.
Please help Alan find hope again. Mahalo for your kindness, prayers, and generosity.
