Al is 11 years old, and motocross is his passion. He’s autistic and finds so much joy and connection through riding, training, and racing at our local facility. The motocross community has become a second family for us, and Al’s excitement is contagious—he often screams with joy on the track, making everyone around him smile. Last summer, he was so proud to finish a race without being in last place, and it meant a lot to him to earn more than just a participation trophy. He’s becoming more competitive, picking up speed, and always asking when the next race will be. Even when we have to take a break, he understands, but it’s clear how much he misses being out there.

Al is reaching a turning point in his motocross journey. He’s almost aged out of his current class and will need to move up from his 65 to a 85 by November 14th of next year. This transition is important for his confidence and growth, both on and off the track. Having the 85 would let him keep racing, learn new skills, and continue connecting with the community he loves. As a parent, I want to give him every chance to keep pushing forward and not give up on something that brings him so much happiness. Unfortunately, the cost of a new bike and the fees to purchase it are more than we can manage alone, ( 7K ) and trade-in options aren’t enough to bridge the gap.
