Help Akasha Heal: A Father, Partner, and Soulful Spirit in Crisis
In a single instant, everything changed.
Our beloved friend Akasha—a devoted father, creative spirit, and gentle soul—suffered a traumatic brain injury in a horrific golf cart accident in Miami. What began as a simple ride ended with him being violently thrown from the cart, striking his head against a tree. He was found unresponsive, his airway filled with blood, and had to be manually ventilated before being rushed to a trauma center.
Doctors had to remove part of his skull to relieve the swelling in his brain. He’s been in a medically induced coma for over a week, and no one yet knows how long he will remain in the hospital, or if—and how fully—he will recover.
To make matters worse, he’s also battling facial fractures, pneumonia, and complications from the trauma. His body is fighting for equilibrium as his medical team monitors him around the clock.
This is a fight for Akasha’s life. A fight for his future.
⸻
This is also a fight for his family.
Akaskas mother, Charlotte, and his youngest son Z, eldest son Cameroon and 13 year old daughter Coda all live in Texas. Charlotte and Z traveled to Miami to be with him, but the cost of lodging, transportation, and missed work is quickly becoming unsustainable.

How You Can Help
Your donation will go directly toward:
1. Family Travel & Housing
• Support for the family to see Akasha while in the hospital in Miami.
• Safe, accessible housing for Sanem to be near him while she begins her own recovery.
2. Saving Akasha’s Van
• Akasha’s custom Sprinter van—his mobile sanctuary and creative project—is at risk of repossession. Saving it preserves part of the life he built with love and intention.
3. Medical Bills & Long-Term Rehab
• Akasha will need months—if not years—of care and therapy, but we have no idea how long he will remain in the hospital or in a coma.
• His medical bills will be astronomical, and this is just the beginning of a long journey.
⸻
Estimated Costs
We anticipate the financial burden of his recovery—plus housing, travel, and rehab—to exceed $250,000. We will share costs transparently as they arise, and every contribution helps lighten the load for his family.
