Hello!

My name is Aja, and I’m the mother of two boys, doing everything I can to rebuild our lives after surviving an abusive marriage that recently led to losing my job.

After years of being a stay at home mom and working to get back on my feet, I finally landed a job this past January and started preparing for our divorce. Unfortunately, that all changed on Easter Sunday when my husband assaulted me in front of our toddler. Since then, I’ve lost my job, I don’t qualify for unemployment, and I’m facing huge costs of legal fees, living expenses, and caring for my kids on my own.

This divorce and DV process is slow and resources are really limited while I’m looking for new employment. It’s incredibly hard to share this publicly, but my friends encouraged me to create this page so that anyone who can help, even just by sharing, might lend a hand as I fight for stability and safety for me and my boys.
