Hi, my name is Aiyana, and I’m currently expecting my baby girl.

Becoming a mom is something I’ve always dreamed about, and I’m so excited to meet her. At the same time, this journey has looked a little different for me.

I’ve been on my own since I was 16 after losing my mom to a tragic homicide. Growing up without that support has shaped me in so many ways, and I’ve had to learn how to navigate life on my own while still carrying that loss with me. My mom was so important to me, and stepping into motherhood without her has been incredibly difficult.

Because of that, it means everything to me to give my daughter the stability, love, and support that I didn’t always have.

Right now, I’m doing everything I can to prepare for her. I’m working, budgeting, and planning, while also trying to build a better future for us by going back to school for nursing.

As excited as I am, I’m also facing this chapter mostly on my own, and the cost of preparing for a baby can be overwhelming. I’m doing my best, but I could truly use some support to make sure she has a safe and comfortable start in life.

I’m hoping to raise $3,000 to help cover:

• A crib and mattress

• A car seat and stroller

• Diapers, wipes, and clothing

• Basic newborn essentials

• Some rent support while I recover after giving birth

More than anything, I just want to bring her into a space where everything she needs is ready for her.

Any amount helps, and even just sharing this means more than I can express. I’m so grateful for any support as I step into motherhood and work toward building a stable, loving life for my daughter.
