HELP AISOS to open an INTERNATIONAL FREE HELPLINE

Hi everyone, my name is Francesca Maddalena Terracciano. I am a doctor and I am the Founder and President of the non-profit based in Italy AISOS: Italian Association Osteosarcoma Study (aisos website).

I'm starting this GoFundMe because AISOS needs your help to develop an important project “AISOS INTERNATIONAL FREE HELPLINE”, a multilingual free helpline where people from all around world will be able to book:

● Free counseling, guidance, and diagnosis information.

● A free mental health support to patients and their families before, during or after surgery.

● An help for patients and their families who live in areas with limited access to care, to receive healthcare in Italy.

Our goal is to raise €400,000,00 to start and cover all costs!

What you will support with your donation (in short):

- International line platform set up costs (initial set up and ongoing operations)

- hiring and training team costs

- trained staff annual costs (approx 1 year salary)

- facilities and equipment costs

- managing costs

- system maintenance costs

- communication and international promoting costs

- secretary costs

- bills, secretary and back-office costs

The AISOS INTERNATIONAL FREE HELPLINE also represents an important support tool for our osteosarcoma observatory medical team, in order to increase statistical data for research and study on this cancer.

About Osteosarcoma:

Osteosarcoma is the eighth-most common form of childhood cancer, comprising 2.4% of all malignancies in pediatric patients, and about 20% of all primary bone cancers.

Osteosarcoma is the primary malignant bone tumor that mostly affects children and adolescents within the second decade of life, with a worldwide incidence of 1 case out of 650,000. Osteosarcoma is the most terrible form of cancer that mostly affects children and adolescents.

About AISOS:

AISOS is composed of a very high level network of volunteer doctors who act in synergy following a protocol perfected over the years, which goes from diagnosis to the preparation of the therapeutic path, from psychological support to young patients and their families to their support in the rehabilitation phase and reintegration into the social context.

From 2004 our team has worked tirelessly for research and to provide medical services and support kids affected by osteosarcoma and their family, including those living in areas with limited access to care.
