Help Aimee Rebuild and Reunite with Her Boys

Five years ago, Aimee’s life changed overnight—from a successful career to fighting Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), one of the most painful nerve diseases known. On the McGill Pain Scale, CRPS is ranked among the highest levels of pain a human can experience.

In order to receive specialized medical care, she was forced to relocate multiple times searching for treatments that might help her survive the daily pain.

She has fought on her own, spending well over $30,000 out of pocket on treatments, medications, and medical supplies just trying to manage the disease and keep going.

For nearly three and a half years, the disease became so severe that Aimee was confined to a wheelchair. But through faith, perseverance, and determination, God has already worked a miracle in her life—she is walking again today.

In an effort to survive financially while waiting for disability approval, Aimee made the difficult decision to rent out her home for income and purchase a camper to live in, hoping it would allow her to stabilize financially and move somewhat closer to her boys.

For the past eight months she has been living in that camper at a campground, doing everything she can to rebuild and create a path back to stability. Unfortunately, the camper itself soon began having multiple issues that required repairs, creating even more financial strain.

Then another devastating setback occurred. Her home suffered a major sewage backup causing over $20,000 in damage, and insurance is only covering about $5,000, leaving her overwhelmed with repairs she cannot afford.

It has truly felt like one thing after another.

Throughout her life, Aimee has always been a fighter. She has survived multiple experiences of domestic violence, many other hardships, and serious health challenges, always showing incredible strength, faith, and resilience.

Right now, she has no income and has been waiting over three years for disability approval.

Her greatest hope is simply to rebuild enough stability to move closer to her children in the Hickory area and be able to see them every other week again. Her boys have suffered too not being able to see their mom regularly.

If you feel led to help, any donation—big or small—would mean the world.

If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this story.
You might also ask:
• Do you know someone who could help with repairs on the home in Sanford so she can sell it instead of foreclosure?
• Do you know of an affordable 2–3 bedroom home or rental near the Hickory area where she could start over and be closer to her boys?

Aimee has always been a warrior through every trial life has thrown at her. With the support of community, faith, and kindness, we believe restoration is possible.

Please consider giving today — every gift, no matter the size, brings her one step closer to stability, repairs for her home, and precious time with her boys.
