Help Aiha's Non-Profit Bakery
The Aiha Non-Profit Bakery, located in Aiha, Lebanon was established by a few town residents within the last several months and has been helping residents meet some of their basic food needs during what can only be described as extraordinary economic times, which many Lebanese friends and family members are most certainly already aware of.
The bakery runs on donations it receives locally and abroad and sells saj bread at cost at pre-inflation price levels. It also gives away free bread to those with limited resources.
The donations generated by this fundraiser will go directly to the bakery to help them purchase flour, propane, and other essentials needed to continue operating and aiding town residents during Lebanon’s economic crisis.
I’d like to thank everyone that donates to this cause and wish you all a Happy Eid. Remember that even small donations will go a long way.
**Note to contributors: due to the unstable banking system and the desire to get these funds to the recipients by next week for Eid el Adha, I will be withdrawing these funds and personally sending them via Western Union. If anyone would like verification regarding any part of the process, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
