Help Aidoo Family Avoid Homelessness

Christy and her husband John Aidoo, and their six kids, moved to the Austin area during the pandemic after leaving behind legal battles following an abusive relationship. During their relocation, they lived in a hotel for months and had near-death experiences with COVID.

They've been living in an old house with constant maintenance issues and an absent landlord. The house has become unlivable, and they're up against the clock with only days to find a home to rent.

The Aidoos both work and are very dedicated to their jobs. They have the budget to rent a small home and keep up with monthly expenses.

However, they're running into trouble with the upfront costs that come with deposits, moving expenses, and application fees. They've had to sell most of their furniture / belongings to support this move, and it's still not enough.

Christy is hoping to keep the family in Hutto to give the kids stability. They're involved in sports in their schools and don't want to be uprooted. They are the sweetest family and could use the community's support right now.
