On Friday, while I (Lex) was home alone, the wiring in Aidan's room shorted and started a fire that completely torched his and Sloane's rooms. No smoke detector went off and I had no idea the fire was happening until our neighbor called me. The fire department came and put it out but the fire spread to the adjacent units and onto the roof, causing our entire apartment to be unliveable.

We are all safe but have lost clothes, instruments, countless personal items, and our home.

Aidan is unemployed and the Sloanes and I are self employed and we could really use some help to try and make a new start and cover costs of moving, finding new housing, and buying new food and clothes. Thank you all and love you.
