Hello, I’m Julie from the United States. On behalf of Ahmed Khaled Hammad and his family, I have started this fundraiser to help them get through these terribly difficult times. He is located in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis. As many of you know, humanitarian aid is not available and the situation remains dangerous. Food has not entered Gaza in over 60 days.

Basic necessities are at exorbitant costs due to the scarcity—the prices rise in the most unbelievable ways. For example, Palestinians have shared these costs:

A bag of flour = $400

1 kilo of sugar = $24

A few types of vegetables = $17 per kilo

Here is a message from Ahmed:

I am Ahmed from Gaza, Palestine. I write to you today, filled with despair and concern for my family's lives. We are living in unbearable conditions amidst a suffocating blockade, systematic starvation, and continuous bombardment that has not ceased for more than a year and a half.

We have been displaced four times during this war, and we no longer own anything. There is no safe place in Gaza. Death stalks us around every corner, either from hunger, bombing, or widespread diseases due to the lack of medicine and water. Food prices have become astronomical, the crossings are closed, and aid is almost nonexistent.

We live in total devastation, trying every day to rebuild what remains of our lives, but the situation continues to deteriorate. Our health is in danger, and our lives are suspended while a world silently watches our suffering.

Please, with all the hope we have left, help us save our lives. We need your urgent humanitarian support—food, medicine, shelter, or even a way to escape to a safe place.

We have reached a point where all we can do is pray and cry out. Save us.
