Help Ahmed to Evacuate His Family from Gaza

Donation protected
Update: Ahmed and his family were forced to evacuate Rafah for Khuza’a where they were staying with his aunt. Despite this being deemed a safe zone and where Ahmed and his family were told to evacuate to, his aunts house was attacked one night while they were sleeping and completely destroyed. Ahmed and his entire family were barely able to make it out, but had to leave behind all of their belongings, which were destroyed along with the house. Now, thanks to donations, Ahmed has been able to afford a tent for his family in Khan Younis and they are working to get settled. Ahmed’s family still urgently needs donations to help cover the high cost of food and supplies such as clothes, necessities for sleeping, and to make the tent more comfortable to replace their lost belongings.

Ahmed AbuRaida and his family are currently sheltering in Rafah, subject to constant bombardment, intentional starvation, and without access to functional health facilities. Ahmed, his brother, his sister, and his baby nephew are all sharing a small room in a tent in Rafah with their relatives and are just trying to survive these difficult circumstances. The immediate goal is to help Ahmed provide food for his family amidst the super high prices of available goods. Please donate anything you can to Ahmed’s family to help them stay fed as Gaza is subjected to starvation. $1,500 of the goal is for immediate food and supplies in Rafah.

In addition, Ahmed and his family have made the difficult decision to leave Rafah in hopes of escaping the atrocities they are subjected to daily. The family home has been destroyed by the air strikes.

Ahmed and 5 of his family members are trying to raise funds to cross at the Egyptian border, the current charge is ~$3000/person to cross. The goal of the fundraiser is for enough funds to cover all 6 people crossing the border ($18,000) and the $1,500 to help keep everyone alive while they continue sheltering in Rafah
until they can leave.
Ahmed has let me know that once there is enough for him to cross, he will go first so he can do more to help get the rest of his family across. Please help Ahmed and his family get to safety

*note about organizer: My name is Geronimo, I am from Connecticut, US and I’m organizing this on Ahmed’s behalf. We started with a gogetfunding (https://gogetfunding.com/flourforahmed/), but as Ahmed was reaching out trying to get donations to help his family, he found people were more comfortable with a GoFundMe, so he asked me to start this. I have set up routine transfers out of GoFundMe and transfer funds to Ahmed via PayPal on a routine basis. Ahmed and I chat daily via WhatsApp and I will continue to update here if he wants to make any changes to any of this. Ahmed and I are both electrical engineers by trade and I wish more than anything that we could be chatting about engineering again instead of how to get flour for his family. Please, please, help feed this family and donate today because every day is a battle to stay alive in Gaza.
