Help Ahava Rebuild after Devastating Fire
Donation protected
I'm Toni, a friend of AhavaFelicidad, who is a friend to us all in Montclair. She is a founder of the Tenants Organization that brought us rent control. She is a hair stylist, a creator of natural health products, a sometime teacher in our public schools, an active volunteer with downtown business groups, her church, and pretty much anyone she comes across who is in need.
Ahava needs our help now.
On Tuesday, a fire of unknown origin consumed most of her belongings at her studio, AhavaFelicidad Hair & Body at 4 Midland Ave.
Ahava needs to replace many things for her business and her busy life. She will need to restore the studio. She is hoping for an insurance payout to help with that. But right now, she is facing all her bills, lacking cash she would have earned with her salon business.
This woman has poured heart and soul into this community. And she ALWAYS shows up. See the picture of her and me last week at Superior Court where a Montclair rent control issue was on the docket.
Let's show up for Ahava. If you can help in any way, please let her know. If you can help with a contribution, this is the place to do it, right now. (I will transfer funds collected here through direct deposits to Ahava.) Bless each of you for all you do.
