Hi everyone! My name is Sarah Potter, President of African Rising Initiative (ARI), and we are raising money for a special cause impacting girls in rural Uganda.
Eco-Agric Uganda, one of our partner Non-Governmental Organizations in Hoima, Uganda, is doing an amazing job training young women and girls in the community at their Vocational Training Center. They are learning needed skills such as welding, brick laying, motorcycle repair, woodworking, sewing, and much more. But they need our help for the program to thrive.
We are raising funds to provide personal protective equipment and supplies to the training center to ensure these girls stay safe as they learn and practice. The cost of supplies per student is just 260,000ugx ($75usd). To support the 62 students enrolled, the total amount needed is $4650. This includes:
- overalls
- masks
- goggles
- industrial shoes
- gloves
- helmet
Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help move this project forward and keep these girls safe as they learn lifelong skills and grow independence.
If you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. It means the world to me.
