Donate: AFE CYCLE CLUB Mountain Bikes For Young Riders

Our students have hardworking parents, but in today's economy, for most of us, hard work is not enough. We are asking our friends, family, and community to make us stronger and make this real.

Our mission is to get our Cycle Club student members on trail-worthy mountain bikes at zero cost to the parent(s).

The Alternative Family Education (AFE) Cycle Club is a volunteer-led youth group helping students get outdoors and move! Connect with nature, hang out with peers, learn biking skills, and build healthy, strong bodies and lungs.

Alternative Family Education, located here in Santa Cruz, CA, is a public school for homeschool families. The AFE Cycle Club was founded in 2022 by parent volunteers Keegan Rothwell and Zach Joseph, a couple of dads who like being present and involved in their children's lives.

Once a week during the nice weather months, Zach and Keegan load up their cars with bikes and students and head for the trail! We share stories, bring snacks, and we have even made two videos for our school's film festival! We have a wonderful time exploring the mountains and coastline of our beautiful county.

Help us reach our first goal of $800 to get our first student recipient a new bike! Once our Goal is met. I will find the best bike/deal at that time , so your donation will go as far as it can.

We are still looking for a local bike shop that is willing give us the manager discount, if you know anyone that works at a one of our local bike shops. Please let me know!
