We’ve given our children love, safety, and care - now we need help opening the door to a real home.
We are an adoptive family with 9 incredible children—many of whom have unique behavioral, emotional, and physical needs that require ongoing therapy, specialist care, and deep patience and love. Every day is a challenge, but also a gift.
Our journey hasn’t been easy. My husband, David, has been disabled since undergoing brain surgery in 2012. Despite his ongoing medical challenges, he remains a devoted father and makes sure the children get to all their appointments. I work full-time as a special education teacher in a local school district, helping children with special needs just like some of our own.
Currently, our family is living in an unfinished, partially converted 24' x 30' shed/barn. It has basic necessities—running water, electricity, and a bathroom (sink/shower: no septic), and we rely on a porta-potty and make do as best we can. It’s far from ideal, but we've made it work for the past 2 years while trying to build a better future.
We’re now in the process of purchasing a manufactured home to give our children the safe, stable, and dignified living environment they deserve. We’ve been approved for financing that covers the home and its basic delivery—but not the critical setup costs needed to make it livable.
These are the remaining utility installation costs we need help covering:
Electrical: $13,226
Water hookup: $5,750
Septic system: $8,500–$10,200
These expenses are beyond what we can afford, and unfortunately, they are not covered by our financing. That’s why we’re humbly asking for your support.
Every dollar brings us one step closer to providing a proper home—a place where our kids can heal, grow, and thrive. Your generosity will help us turn this dream into a reality.
Thank you for reading, and for helping an adoptive family that's doing everything they can to keep going with love, faith, and resilience.
