Help Adopt Baby Burmeister

Hello! For those of you who don’t know us, we’re Chelsea and Sandra Burmeister. We’re your typical American family. We married in 2014, bought a house in 2016, and since 2015 we’ve been on our fertility journey.
The fertility journey for us has been heartbreaking. In 2017, we were devastated to learn that our treatments had all been in vain, as Sandra, who was receiving treatment, did not have the egg reserve to produce a viable egg. After years of trying, and thousands of dollars spent, we have not had a successful pregnancy. This has not wavered our desire to become parents. We want nothing more in this lifetime than to love a child.
We decided that 2018 was going to be our year and, since we are a couple with two uteruses, we would start all over again using Chelsea’s uterus. Having more knowledge this time around, we started first with all the testing and procedures. We found a different fertility clinic and prayed. As we prayed we were lead down the path of embryo adoption. We were told this can take a long time, as embryos are not put up for adoption often.
We got a phone call today that an adoptable embryo is available. This page is dedicated to raising the funds desperately needed to adopt this embryo. We hadn’t anticipated this call so soon and, in addition, have a small window of time to secure the payment for the adoption and medical costs to transfer of the embryo.
Above all, we have faith that this is God’s plan.
If this page falls short of its goal, and we are unable to proceed with this particular embryo adoption, these funds will be set aside for the next time an embryo is available. If this page surpasses its goal, we will donate the remainder to the other patients at the clinic.
No amount is too small.
