Help Addison Wallace Save His Grandmother's Home
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Addison Wallace, grandson of Beth Wallace. I'm 22 years old and recently joined the Alabama National Guard so that I can give back to my community, help pay for college, and create a career for myself to support my family.
At the end of last year, it was brought to my knowledge that my grandmother's back taxes had been bought in auction, and since then, we've been struggling to find lawyers and resources to help us figure out how to buy our property back. This home isn't a lot, but it's genuinely all I have. My grandmother worked at Jefferson State Community College for 25 years and used her retirement money to buy this house so that my siblings and I would have a place to live. She has guardianship over my younger brother and sister and has been our only parent since I was a child.
My mother is a struggling addict who refuses to go to rehab and has been homeless for several years. My father was the same, only he passed away from lung cancer and fentanyl abuse. I work as hard as I can to help my family on my own, and it genuinely wrecks my pride to ask for help, but we genuinely need it. We have been having family prayers every night for several weeks now, and starting this GoFundMe has been heavy on my heart and is my Hail Mary. My grandmother deserves this help, and if you see this and find it in your heart to help us, I will forever be thankful and indebted to this community.
If you'd like to know more and ask questions about our situation, I'll be happy to address any questions either through Facebook messages or in my posts. Thank you for reading, and please share. Even if you can't help financially, it still helps.
