Help Addie Get A New Wheelchair Accessible Van

It’s been a really hard month. Addie was in the hospital after several weeks of agitation that never improved. She got a new diagnosis of dysautonomia and it turned our world upside down after learning it has the ability to shorten her lifespan. While Addie has several diagnoses (epilepsy, hydrocephalus, respiratory failure, and more) it seemed even harder to accept a new diagnosis.
After a few days home, our wheelchair van broke AGAIN. We had it in the shop for 2 months in the Fall and before then it had broken down a few times. It was a sweet gift from a friend, but because it’s an older van (2003) with lots of mileage from the previous owner, it’s on its last legs.
Addie NEEDS reliable transportation and unfortunately, used, older accessible vans that’s we’ve been able to have, haven’t been reliable at all. We know Addie needs a new van that is reliable- that can get her to doctor appointments locally and out of town, therapy appointments, and even just for every day life. She loves getting out and about and we always encourage her to live life to the fullest- especially when we don’t know how many years God has planned for her life. No one should be forced to be homebound- and that’s what happens when we don’t have a working wheelchair van.
Addie has gone through SO much in her life and deserves the entire world. This is so much to ask but with medical bills and our current van breaking down so often, it’s impossible to save for a brand new accessible van for her. They’re incredibly expensive, but she deserves reliability and the ability to live life and go out like everyone else. Please help us with this crazy huge goal, and if you can’t, please pray about it with us. We know all things are possible with God, and we are confident that things will work out somehow for her.
