Help Adastra Find Freedom

For two decades Adastra (not his real name) has been seeking freedom in East Africa. On Sunday 15th September he turns 39.

It is tragic that such a wonderful talented man should be languishing simply because of his sexuality.

In this fundraiser, working with www.hin.charity we hope to raise enough funds for him to travel to Dubai where he can start working for a better future. He has friends there who will look out for him and his talents, not only in music, but in trades will ensure that he can build a better life for himself.

The Power of Music: “Why Wars” and My Journey from Uganda to other East African countries. Safety and security has often evaded him and yet somehow he has survived.

Music has always been a powerful medium for expressing emotions, sharing stories, and advocating for change. As a writer, musician, and human rights activist, my life’s work has been deeply intertwined with my experiences and the challenges I’ve encountered along the way.
