Help Adam Survive On The Road With Chronic Illness

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Adam - I’m 31 and I am chronically ill and disabled by several chronic health conditions: Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), Asthma and Dysautonomia. Most of my health conditions have been caused by exposure to toxic mold in my parent's home that I lived in for most of my life.

I was recently forced to leave the home in December 2025 for my safety and wellbeing, as my symptoms became life threatening while residing in the house. I've currently relocated to Arizona to stay in the warmest place possible during the winter, as I am currently using my tent as shelter until I can find a more proper residence. My car also has a mold problem, which prevents me from safely using the AC and heat, as well as using it as a place to sleep.

I am currently living out of my car and a tent until I can find more proper shelter. Any donations I receive will help me cover:

• Temporary motel stays when symptoms/weather makes camping unsafe
• Gas to reach safer areas and essential services
• Food + water until my SNAP benefits/earnings catch up
• Basic supplies (warmth, hygiene, phone/Wi-Fi access to earn income)

(More explanation below)

My conditions cause my lungs to be extremely sensitive and reactive to elements in my environment. I am unable to tolerate smoke, dust, harsh chemicals, artificial fragrances (including perfumes, cleaners, detergents, and many soaps) and artificial materials often found in new manufactured products. When exposed to these elements, I suffer from asthma attacks and allergic reactions.

I currently have a disability case pending for SSDI benefits that I hope to win after my case hearing in March 2026. My disability lawyer feels confident we will win, which would grant me a monthly income amount in addition to a one-time backpay sum. This could potentially be enough money for me to purchase a better vehicle as well as pay off any loans or debts. In the meantime, I am doing my best to survive and manage my conditions, while continuing to seek any part-time income available to me. However, without proper shelter, earning income is very difficult.

You can follow my health journey on TikTok and YouTube under chronically_adam. I try to share my experiences and life story to hopefully inspire others like me, in addition to educating able-bodied people about the difficulty those with MCAS and MCS face. I enjoy sharing my story, and hope it can lead to other positive opportunities as well.
