Hello, my name is Adam, and I’m reaching out for support during the most difficult time of my life.
A few months ago, I was wrongfully arrested and charged with burglary at my mother’s home—a place I’ve always been welcome. I had traveled from Arizona to visit my mom, who I was told may not live much longer. I also hoped to collect some of my personal belongings still stored at her house.
When I arrived, things took a shocking turn. My sister—who has cut off all communication with me for years—accused me of breaking into my mother’s house, even though I had spoken with my mom multiple times and had her blessing to visit. I was forcibly removed from the home, assaulted, and arrested—all while my mother lay in her room, unaware of what was happening.
Despite having no conviction, this charge is now showing up on background checks, making it nearly impossible for me to find work. I’ve always supported myself, including traveling across the country for animal transport jobs, but now I’m stuck in legal limbo, fighting for my name, my rights, and my future.
I’ve hired a private attorney who believes in my case and is working to get the charges dismissed. But legal representation is expensive. I’m also struggling to cover basic living expenses while I fight this. I never thought I’d have to ask for help like this, but I have no other option.
I’m asking for help to:
Cover legal fees to fight these false charges
Pay basic bills and rent while I’m unable to work
Rebuild my life after this devastating situation
If you can contribute anything, even a few dollars, it would mean the world. And if you can’t donate, please consider sharing my story to help get the word out.
Thank you for believing in fairness, truth, and second chances.
—Adam
