Hi, my name is Adam, and I’m a single dad to my daughter, Sadie.
I’m raising funds to cover a security deposit and first month’s rent so I can move Sadie and myself into a new apartment that has become available unexpectedly.
I’m incredibly grateful that the new landlord has been kind enough to hold the apartment specifically for Sadie and me until the 15th, giving us a short window to make this work.
This place is honestly perfect for her — it’s right behind my mom’s house and directly across the street from her new elementary school she will be attending in the fall. That means built-in childcare support, stability, and a daily routine that puts Sadie first. It’s the kind of setup every parent hopes for, and I don’t want to miss the opportunity.
My original plan was to use my tax return to cover these upfront costs. Unfortunately, the timing isn’t lining up, and I need to secure the apartment before it’s gone. My finances are otherwise in order — this is simply that tough “starting point” moment where everything hits at once.
I don’t love asking for help, but I’m doing this because it’s the right move for my daughter. This fundraiser isn’t about long-term support — it’s about getting us safely and securely started in a home that sets Sadie up to thrive.
The total needed is $2,800, which will go directly toward:
• Security deposit
• First month’s rent
If you’re able to help, even a little, I’m incredibly grateful. If you can’t donate, sharing this means just as much.
Thank you for supporting a dad doing everything he can to give his kid a safe, stable place to grow.
— Adam
