For more than 25 years, ACTO has been a values-driven home for coach training organizations worldwide. Founded in 1999—before coaching had a formal professional infrastructure—ACTO helped shape the field, elevate standards, and cultivate a community grounded in ethics, reflection, and shared purpose.

As the coaching marketplace evolved, ACTO remained volunteer-led and mission-driven. We have persevered—until COVID fundamentally altered our financial reality. Since then, membership and revenue have declined while the costs of responsible operation have remained steady. After careful financial review and deep reflection, the Board of Directors made the difficult decision to sunset ACTO, with formal closure on June 30, 2026.

Even with prudent stewardship, ACTO does not have sufficient reserves to complete its final year and meet all remaining legal, contractual, and program commitments. We are raising funds so ACTO can close responsibly—honoring staff, fulfilling obligations, delivering promised member value through June 2026, and retiring debt in alignment with our values and The ACTO Stand.
