Story / Description:
My name is Eva Durrant
and my family are from a small town in Accompong Town, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.
After Storm Melissa tore through our community, many families have been left without homes, electricity, food, and clean water. Roofs are gone, crops destroyed, and roads are blocked. The damage has been heartbreaking to see.
For hours, I waited and prayed to hear my father’s and relatives’ voices — when I finally did, my heart felt at peace . But sadly, so many others in Accompong Town are still struggling to find shelter, food, and safety.
This fundraiser is to support the families of Accompong Town who have lost so much.
Funds will go toward:
• Emergency food and water
• Temporary shelter and rebuilding materials
• Assistance for the elderly and children
• Restoring basic necessities and power
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference.
